About Thornlea Mews
Originally built about 1900 and for many years a working farm. The stable block forming part of the farm was converted some years ago into Mews Cottages which surround a flowered courtyard area that also contains a railed pond. The cottages have attractive views to the rear over undeveloped valley fields
Behind and below the Mews Cottages lay the three Brook Cottages. These face south over a pretty garden area whose boundary is set by a small stream, which is screened by fence and plants. The interiors of these cottages are wood clad giving them a "log cabin" feel. The foors of all the cottages are of varnished wood and slate which affords a degree of practicality when returning from the beach with small sandy children or pets. At dusk badgers come into the garden to feed.
Thornlea Flat is situated on the upper floor of the main building. It is a spacious flat containing four bedrooms (three with wash -- basins) that sleep 7, a sitting room, kitchen and bathroom. The flat has good views of the valley and the sea. There is a large parking area and approximately 2 acres of field and garden affording a safe area in which children can play.Well behaved dogs are very welcome at a small extra charge and there is a designated dog walking area that is kept separate from the play area and we insist on "poop scoops" are used and we can even supply scoops and bags, if required.
